About us:
Job Description

At Elekta the Software Support Specialist's work in our EuropeanTechnical Support Group who provide clinical and technical support forOncology products in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). AtElektaour Product Support Specialists (Software) are responsible for thetechnical support of Elektas Oncology Information System (OIS),Brachytherapy products & Treatment Planning System (TPS) productrange, associated third-party products, and support of the people whobenefit from their use.

The role is based in Crawley, West Sussex and will include all aspectsof remote support to our customers, business units and distributors. Inorder to maintain the necessary field competence travel (up to 20%) willbe expected throughout the region. We may ask you to attend site at veryshort notice to resolve escalating product issues, although this willnot be frequent.

Ideally you be fluent in a second European language (Ideally French orGerman), other European languages could be considered.

Responsibilities of the Technical Support Specialist:

- Actively seek and maintain the necessary clinical and technicalcompetence to be able to effectively diagnose and resolve problems onall of the Elekta software product range.
- Identifying any necessary training requirements and escalating theseto management.
- Communicate with customers to understand the problem, localize theorigin, and troubleshoot efficiently to bring about swift resolution.
- Clearly explain to the customer what steps are necessary to diagnoseand resolve the problem so that they are fully aware of the Implicationsand time-scales involved.
- Ensuring that all interested parties are aware of ongoing orescalating issues, progress being made and any plans that have been putin place.
- Record all support activities in an appropriate call logging system
- Escalate to management any technical issues that are likely to become significant

Required skills of the Technical Support Specialist:

- A strong Clinical Oncology radiography understanding to be able toapply in everyday use to guide customers through product application/work-flow.
- Technical skills in the area of PC/NetworkComputing(desired)Prioritizing and managing calls in an efficient andprofessional manner (from customers, Elekta engineers and Distributors)
- Excellent Communication skills in English and European Language
- Demonstrate best practice at all times to ensure satisfactory outcomefor customers
