Detalhe da Função

Researcher-Industrial systems | Modelling | Electromagnetic compatibility - IC/ISQ/SID/FITEC/05 for Research & Development and Innovation - Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade, in Oeiras.

Work Plan:
The candidate will have as main functions:
- Develop Research and Development activities and technology transfer to Industry, namely for aeronautics and space sectors, related to the development of demonstration projects, and research projects, in industrial context;
- Creation and development of numeric models for simulation of several systems, e.g. physical phenomena related with electrical and electronics industries;
- Support and develop electromagnetic simulation activities | EM3D for validation of virtual models of aerostructures;
- Support project the development of data acquisition systems and devices (e.g IoT), data processing and analysis, laboratory implementation and simulation of processes;
- Activities of scientific dissemination, such as preparation of scientific articles and participation in conferences, and activities related to the development of proposals for scientific projects.

Workplace:
The work will be developed at ISQ / Taguspark and may involve field activities to be carried out at partner / customer facilities in Portugal or abroad. The activities will be performed functionally in the R&D Division.


Selection Method: 
Curricular evaluation in which the following factors will be considered:
i) Relevance of the academic curriculum (40%);
ii) Relevant previous experience in the area of work foreseen in the work plan of this competition (40%).
iii) Other relevant merits (20%);
If the jury deems it necessary, the three candidates best ranked according to the previous criteria may be called for interview. If the interview takes place, the percentage appreciation will be 60% for the curriculum evaluation and 40% for the interview.

MSc (Bologna, or pre-Bologna Degree) in the areas of Engineering, Electrical, Telecommunications, Informatics, Physics and other related.

Preference will be given to candidates with:
·       Expertise in Computer Simulation Technology (CST);
·       Experience in computational and numerical methods using special mesh and temporal solvers;
·       Knowledge of EM3D models for physical phenomena;
·       Knowledge in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC);
·       Knowledge of test instrumentation in the area of Electromagnetic Compatibility (VNAs, communication protocols, amplifiers, generators, etc.);

Knowledge of IoT systems, Digital platforms, and modelling techniques will be valued.
