To support the provision of General Accounting services focusing mainly on:

- Performing balance sheet reconciliations, where the purpose of the balance sheet
reconciliation process is to help ensure that the ending balance on an account as of the
reconciliation date is valid, complete and correctly recorded.

- Preparing manual journal entries (including accruals and prepayments) to support the
Country Accountants and Team Lead in ensuring that the ledgers are closed in line with
corporate timetables and with high levels of reporting accuracy and reliability.

- Analysing intercompany balances and transactions to resolve intercompany out-of-balance positions, including working with Country Accountants and local finance and operational staff to resolve any issues.


- To prepare the accruals and prepayment entries to ensure that the month end financial
position and results are accurately stated
- To prepare manual journal entries in line with the period-end close checklist and to correct any identified errors or missing postings
- To post bank transactions to the correct General Ledger account
- To prepare intercompany reconciliations and identify and resolve out-of-balance positions to include preparing correcting journal entries where required
- To prepare the required balance sheet reconciliations in line with Corporate Policy and
challenge the adequacy of support provided for the balances
- To support the preparation of information required for local statutory accounts and all tax filings as requested by the third-party advisors, including responding to queries on
transactional level data
- To identify opportunities for process improvement and work with the RTR Tower Lead and RTR IT support to implement those process improvements (including increasing levels of automation)


- Accountancy or related degree subject
- Good communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel user
- English and Portuguese B2 level
- Previous experience working in a GBS environment desirable
