A Blaster is responsible for preparing and finishing stainless steel sheet metal and frame constructions using specialized blasting techniques. The primary tasks involve treating semi-finished or finished products to achieve the desired surface quality, using methods such as pickling, glass bead blasting, and sublimation (water blasting). Main Responsibilities: Blasting Products: The blaster uses specific techniques like glass bead blasting to clean, smooth, or shape metal surfaces. Post-Treatment: After blasting, the blaster conducts post-treatment procedures to ensure the products meet quality standards. Masking and Preparation: This involves masking parts of products that shouldn't be blasted and preparing them for shipment. Maintenance: The blaster is also responsible for keeping the blasting equipment and work environment clean and well-maintained. Working Environment: The work is conducted in a modern facility equipped with the latest machines, but the environment can be cold and physically demanding. The blaster needs to be strong and able to work in such conditions. Skills and Requirements: Experience: At least 1-2 years of blasting or similar work experience. Language: English at a B2 level is required for communication with colleagues. Physical Strength: Necessary due to the nature of the work and the working conditions. Good Attitude and Proactivity: A positive work ethic and the ability to work independently are crucial. Additional Information: Location: Hapert, Netherlands. Work Hours: Daytime hours, with the possibility of up to 5 hours of overtime per week. Salary: €450 net per week for a 40-hour workweek. Requirements: A driver's license is necessary, and it's recommended to bring your own work clothes and safety shoes. The role is suited for someone experienced in the metal industry, physically capable, and motivated to work in a challenging environment.
