We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer (Printing and Scanning Support) to join an important client. Requirements The consultancy support for this work requires an experienced Cloud Engineer (Printing and Scanning) with the following qualifications: 1) Universal Print Management: • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Universal Print services. • Experience integrating Universal Print with Azure AD. • Proficiency in optimizing print job routing and processing. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Universal Print issues. 2) Printer Deployment and Configuration: • Expertise in deploying and configuring network printers and MFDs using Intune and Group Policy. • Experience implementing printer policies, driver deployment, and printer object management. • Proficiency in setting up secure print release stations and configuring print servers. • Ability to manage printer firmware updates and ensure compatibility with M365 services. 3) Follow Me Printing Technologies: • Skilled in implementing and managing Follow Me printing solutions using PaperCut or UniFLOW. • Experience configuring print servers and user authentication protocols. • Proficiency in optimizing print job caching and load balancing. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Follow Me printing issues. 4) Smart Card Authentication: • Advanced knowledge of smart card-based authentication for secure print release. • Experience integrating smart card systems with existing PKI infrastructure. • Proficiency in implementing secure authentication workflows. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve smart card authentication and reader issues. 5) Canon Technology and Software: • Expertise in configuring and managing Canon printers, MFDs, and Canon print management software (e.g., uniFLOW). • Experience integrating Canon devices with Microsoft Universal Print and M365. • Proficiency in implementing Canon’s secure printing features. • Ability to provide support and troubleshooting for Canon-specific hardware and software issues. 6) Vendor Management: • Skilled in collaborating with Canon and other vendors for technical support. • Experience coordinating installation, maintenance, and support agreements with vendors. • Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with SLAs. • Ability to stay updated on the latest vendor technologies and firmware updates. 7) Security and Compliance: • Advanced knowledge of security measures for printing and scanning, including data encryption and secure spooler management • Experience ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements, such as GDPR. • Proficiency in conducting security assessments and vulnerability scans. • Ability to develop and maintain data loss prevention (DLP) policies for printing. 8) Automation and Scripting: • Proficient in writing and executing PowerShell scripts for printer management. • Experience automating common tasks, such as driver updates and print queue management. • Ability to enhance operational efficiency through automation. • Knowledge of script debugging and error handling. 9) Monitoring and Reporting: • Proficient in using monitoring tools like Microsoft Endpoint Manager, SCOM, and SNMP. • Ability to generate detailed reports on print usage, device performance, and compliance. • Experience analyzing usage and performance data for optimization. • Proficiency in using dashboards to monitor key metrics. 10) User Support and Training: • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for printing and scanning issues. • Experience providing technical support and ensuring user satisfaction. • Proficiency in handling escalated support tickets. • Ability to conduct training sessions and create user guides for end-users. 11) Integration with M365: • Knowledge of integrating printing and scanning solutions with M365 services. • Experience managing print-related configurations within M365. • Proficiency in collaborating with M365 engineers for optimal integration. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues. 12) Continuous Improvement: • Commitment to staying current with the latest printing and scanning technologies. • Proactive in implementing improvements and enhancements. • Participation in industry forums and training sessions. • Ability to propose and implement new features and enhancements. 13) Disaster Recovery Planning: • Experience developing and implementing disaster recovery plans for print services. • Ability to conduct regular disaster recovery drills. • Knowledge of maintaining documentation of recovery procedures. • Proficiency in ensuring quick restoration of services in the event of an outage. 14) Collaboration with IT Teams: • Ability to work closely with other IT teams. • Experience collaborating on cross-functional projects and initiatives. • Skilled in providing expertise and support for printing and scanning-related projects. • Proficiency in participating in IT forums and discussions. 15) Others: • The candidate has strong customer relationship skills, including negotiating complex and sensitive situations under pressure. • Full proficiency in the English language. French language proficiency is of advantage. • The candidate must have the nationality of one of the NATO nations. • The candidate must possess a NATO Secret Security Clearance or national equivalent. This role is critical for maintaining efficient IT support operations and ensuring users receive timely and effective assistance with their devices and Microsoft 365 services. As a Level 2/3 engineer, you will handle complex issues, support advanced configurations, and play a key role in strategic planning and implementation of printing and scanning solutions.
