Copywriter, Journalist, Writer - UK NATIVE living in Portugal (M/F/D)

We are looking for a writer, copywriter, or journalist who is a native British English speaker (UK) and resides in Portugal to collaborate on writing, creating, and editing content. This role requires strong writing skills and storytelling abilities, aligned with the festival's tone and voice. The candidate must be able to adapt content for various formats and audiences, including digital contexts, social media, websites, videos, newspapers, magazines, and more. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in the music, cultural, well-being/conscious lifestyle, psytrance, or festival sectors. Tasks: Create and adapt content for digital platforms (websites, social media, newsletters, video captions, emails, press releases, etc.) and offline materials (newspapers, presentations, programming guides, and more). Develop creative concepts and copy for communication campaigns. Collaborate with design and audiovisual teams to ensure consistency between visual and written content. Research, structure, and write articles and presentations in a clear and engaging manner. Review, edit, and optimise existing content for different platforms and audiences. Ensure adherence to the organisation's Style Guide. What we’re looking for: Native British English (UK) speaker with excellent written and spoken proficiency. Proven experience as a writer, editor, copywriter, or journalist. Ability to adapt tone and style for different formats and audiences. Knowledge of storytelling and copywriting techniques to create engaging and impactful messages. Experience writing for digital platforms, with a solid understanding of SEO and best practices for content optimisation. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience in sustainability, events, or the cultural sector (preferred). Proactive and creative mindset, with the ability to propose innovative ideas and solutions. Passion for festivals and cultural events. Capacity to adapt and integrate into a multicultural environment. Availability to stay on-site at the festival during its duration and other designated times. Ability to work independently and responsibly. Duration: December 2024 to August 2025. Labor exercise: Hybrid (remote/local). Type of contract: Full Time or Part Time.
