Job Title: Data Engineer Location: Porto, Portugal Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid (3x office days) Responsibilities and Tasks: Actively participate in the definition, design, and implementation of a modern data platform, including ingestion, processing, storage, modeling, and analytical consumption; Promote a data culture within the organization, ensuring compliance with defined data management and governance processes; Develop and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT), ensuring reliable integration of data from core systems and satellite applications; Model data in data warehouses, data lakes, and analytical layers, ensuring quality, consistency, and performance; Ensure data quality, integrity, and traceability by identifying anomalies and proposing structural improvements; Translate business needs into data models, metrics, and actionable analyses; Develop exploratory analyses, reports, and dashboards to support activity monitoring and decision-making; Collaborate closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners, acting as a bridge between technical and functional areas; Document data models, flows, and associated business rules to promote clarity and reusability.

Perfil

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields;
  • Experience in data engineering and data analysis, with hands-on technical work;
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL Server, and data modeling;
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration;
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, preferably Power BI (data modeling, DAX, and reporting best practices);
  • Ability to understand business processes and translate business questions into analyses and metrics;
  • Strong communication skills, both with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Critical thinking, autonomy, and sense of responsibility;
  • Experience in data projects on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS);
  • Experience in financial or regulated environments;
  • Knowledge of programming languages that support analytics (e.g., Python).
