We are currently strengthening the team of one of our clients with the following profile: DBA SQL SERVER – Hybrid (Lisbon) What we are looking for Hard skills • SQL Server Administration: Manage and administer SQL Server platforms (versions > 2014). • Platform Refresh & Migration: Oversee SQL Server platform refreshes, including infrastructure and version upgrades. • Scripting & Development: Develop and maintain T-SQL and PowerShell scripts for automation, administration, and utility purposes. • Performance Tuning & Optimization: Conduct performance analysis, tune SGBDs, support development teams in rewriting suboptimal code, contribute to database modeling, and proactively propose performance improvements. • High Availability: Implement and manage high availability solutions, including AlwaysON and Transactional Replication. • Database Auditing & Maintenance: Perform regular audits of SQL Server databases and maintain the operational readiness of SGBDs within the NIMOS perimeter. • Production Monitoring: Supervise production SGBDs within the NIMOS perimeter (SQL Server and Sybase). • Incident & User Support: Respond to and resolve incidents and user support requests related to databases. • Crisis Management: Participate in crisis management "cellules" (war rooms). • Change Management: Control and deliver database structure modifications. • Cross-Functional Knowledge: Leverage and apply knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and SGBD architecture. • MS BI Tools Administration: Administer and tune third-party Microsoft tools such as SSRS, PowerBI Server, SSIS, and SSAS. • Release Management: Handle and process requests for Production deployments. • Intervention Management: Respond to intervention requests across various SGBD technologies. • Installation & Optimization: Install, administer, and optimize SGBD servers, including performance analysis. • Query Optimization Assistance: Assist development teams in reviewing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures. • Continuity & Availability: Participate in continuity and availability exercises and maintain associated procedures. • Documentation: Create and maintain operational documentation for databases. • Technology Watch & Projects: Participate in technology watch initiatives, exploring new features in SQL Server 2022-2025 and interfacing with technologies like Polybase and Hadoop. • Cloud Database Projects: Contribute to database projects on cloud platforms such as Azure (SQL Server, Analysis Services, PowerBI), AWS, and GCP.
