Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities: As Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks: · Manage electrical design projects from concept to completion. · Provide technical guidance and support to the team · Develop comprehensive cable schedules and core sheets for power and control cabling, ensuring organized and efficient cable management. · Act as the technical point of contact for clients. · Have an in-depth understanding of low-voltage (LV) components and systems, encompassing switchboards, generators (including Diesel), UPS systems, pumps, motors, cable networks, containment, transformers, and more. · Design and project management, ensuring seamless coordination and successful execution of engineering projects. · Perform detailed design tasks using software tools like ETAP and FEDBOK for various electrical systems: fault level studies, protection discrimination studies, arc flash studies, harmonic analysis, and associated filter design. · Utilize AutoCAD/REVIT software for detailed design tasks in electrical engineering for equipment layout, busbar layout design, small power and lighting design, plant control system schematics, power system schematics, SLD's, and containment design. · Proficient in designing control systems for various applications, ensuring seamless automation and efficient process management. In addition: - Utilize Dialux software for lighting design, ensuring optimal and efficient illumination. - Assisting with the development of commissioning plans and commissioning documentation. - Design CCTV and access control security systems for enhanced facility security. - Designing fire protection systems, including cause and effect matrices. - Writing technical reports for all detailed design components. - Experience in high-voltage (HV) secondary and protection design. To be successful, you'll need: - 2-5+ years of solid on-site experience as a project or commissioning engineer in low-voltage or High Voltage (HV) industrial plants, with advantageous experience in data centres. - Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier Topology is desirable. - Proficiency in developing cable schedules and core sheets for power cabling and control cabling. - Skills in creating IO schedules for control and monitoring systems. - Experience in designing IT infrastructure, including port allocations for patch panels and managed switches, in line with project equipment and infrastructure. Candidates must be allowed to work in the EU.
