We are now expanding our operations to Barcelona and building a team to support European markets in different countries such as Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Portugal, where we are headquartered. ABOUT YOUR ROLE: As a Junior Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance with tax and labor regulations. Your responsibilities will include: ✓ Processing payroll accurately and timely in compliance with Portuguese labor legislation. ✓ Utilizing advanced Excel skills to analyze payroll data, generate reports, and identify discrepancies. ✓ Collaborating with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies. ✓ Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, social security regulations, and labor legislation. ✓ Assisting in the implementation of payroll process improvements and enhancements. ✓ Providing timely responses and support to employees regarding payroll inquiries. ✓ Verifying and validating employee absenteeism and justifications. ✓ Performing any other payroll or finance duties as required by business needs. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: ✓ Strong knowledge of Taxes & Social Security regulations. ✓ Familiarity with Portuguese labor legislation. ✓ Minimum 1 year of experience in Portuguese Payroll processing. ✓ Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas and pivot tables. ✓ Analytical mindset and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll processing. Experience in Submitting AT/SS Declarations (DMR, DRI) and familiarity with related procedures. Knowledge of Submitting AT/SS Declarations (DMR, DRI) is a plus. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM US?
