Legal Counsel | Tech Area We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Counsel to for a prestigious shared service center in the financial sector based in Porto, provide top-notch legal and commercial advice, particularly in the areas of Tech, Data, and Digital matters. As a Legal Counsel, you will Provide Expert Advice Deliver effective legal and commercial advice and assistance, especially concerning Tech, Data, and Digital matters. Your expertise will guide our strategic decisions and help mitigate risks. Draft and Negotiate Contracts Skilfully draft and negotiate contracts, ensuring they are clear, fair, and protective of our interests. Manage Risk Assist our teams in assessing and managing legal and commercial risks, tailoring your advice to different risk profiles and business needs. Ensure Compliance Ensure our business activities comply with relevant laws and internal governance processes, safeguarding our reputation and operational integrity. Advise on Disputes Provide preliminary advice on disputes, helping us navigate conflicts with a strategic and informed approach. Guide Regulatory Compliance Offer guidance on regulatory compliance, keeping us ahead of industry standards and legal requirements. Support Contracts Support a range of standard and bespoke contracts and queries, managing them with a focus on low to medium levels of revenue, complexity, and impact.   We are looking for a candidate who Is a Qualified Lawyer Holds a qualification in an EU jurisdiction and has 5-8 years (negotiable) of relevant international commercial legal experience. Has Strong Technical Knowledge Possesses excellent knowledge and experience in contract/commercial law and regulatory issues, including software contracts, AI, Data, and Digital regulations. Demonstrates Core and Legal Competencies Shows proficiency in legal competencies, especially related to Tech, Data, and Digital matters, with a focus on technical accuracy and sound judgment. Provides Timely Assistance Offers timely and effective advice and assistance, ensuring our teams can rely on quick and accurate legal support. Communicates Clearly Communicates complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner, fostering strong internal and external relationships. Acts as a Trusted Business Partner Builds trust with our business and operations teams, providing guidance that supports our strategic goals. Is Well-Educated Holds a degree or equivalent qualification, underlining a solid academic foundation. Excels in Drafting and Negotiation Demonstrates excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills, crucial for managing our diverse range of contracts. Has Tech Experience Brings experience in Tech, Data, and Digital contracts, staying abreast of industry trends and developments.
