Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Pediatrician at United Medical Clinic, Lisboa. The Pediatrician will be responsible for providing primary care to children and young adults, from birth to age 18. The daily tasks of the Pediatrician will include conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, providing preventative care and counseling, and managing chronic conditions. The Pediatrician will also need to work with other physicians to coordinate care and develop treatment plans. Qualifications Medical degree Board certification in pediatrics is preferable Valid medical license in Portugal (Registration in the Order of Medics) Experience working in primary care and pediatrics Knowledge of neonatology and child development Ability to work collaboratively with other physicians and healthcare professionals Excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written communication Familiarity with electronic health records and other healthcare technologies Bilingual Portuguese and English skills are preferred Maintenance (or willingness to maintain) a professional blog on social networks is an advantage Responsibilities: - Diagnosing and treating various diseases, conditions, and injuries in children - Administering vaccinations and preventive health counselling - Conducting educational sessions for parents and patients on child care - Monitoring children's growth and development over time - Developing immunisation plans and recommending healthy lifestyles
