Design and operate enterprise-grade Data Center network infrastructure for a global technology organisation, working within the worlds largest IT services and consulting company on a long-term EMEA programme. - Remote in Portugal (occasional on-site visits) - Permanent contract directly with the consultancy We are hiring an Network Architect to join a global networking team, taking ownership of Data Center fabric design, operations and transformation across EMEA. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement and operate EVPN/VXLAN-based Data Center fabrics - Manage and troubleshoot Juniper EX and QFX environments including JunOS configuration, upgrades and automation - Define and maintain network standards, operational procedures, security requirements and capacity planning - Lead Data Center migration and transformation projects - Create High Level and Low Level Designs (HLD/LLD) - Perform technical reviews and architecture governance - Troubleshoot complex issues across underlay, overlay, routing, switching, multicast and high availability designs - Collaborate with global teams and manage stakeholders across EMEA, NAM and APAC What We Are Looking For - 7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise Data Center networking - Strong expertise with Juniper EX and QFX platforms - Advanced knowledge of JunOS including operational troubleshooting, upgrades, automation and configuration management - Proven experience with EVPN/VXLAN including BGP EVPN Control Plane, VXLAN Overlay, Spine-Leaf architecture, Anycast Gateway and Layer 2/3 extension strategies - Experience with Juniper Virtual Chassis and VCF deployments - Strong routing knowledge including BGP, OSPF and IS-IS - Strong troubleshooting capabilities across underlay, overlay, routing, switching, multicast and HA designs Nice to Have - Automation experience including Python, Ansible, REST APIs and Infrastructure as Code - Familiarity with VMware NSX networking concepts - Cloud connectivity experience including Azure ExpressRoute and hybrid networking architectures - Knowledge of load balancing technologies including AVI, F5 and Citrix ADC - Certifications JNCIP-DC, JNCIE-DC, CCNP/CCIE Enterprise or Azure Networking Specialty Interested?
