Job Title: Platform Engineer Location: Lisbon, Portugal Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid (3x office days) Overview / Summary: We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our team for a project in the insurance sector, to design, build and maintain internal developer platforms, leveraging technologies such as Backstage and modern DevOps practices. The role focuses on enabling developer productivity and operational excellence through automation and scalable platform solutions. Responsibilities and Tasks: Develop and enhance internal developer platforms using Backstage and related frameworks. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for efficient deployments. Integrate container orchestration solutions (Kubernetes, Docker) into platform architecture. Collaborate with product teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable platforms. Drive automation strategies and adopt SRE principles for service reliability. Ensure observability and security are embedded in platform design.

Perfil

• +4 years of experience in similar roles.
• Strong experience with Backstage and platform engineering tools.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and modern software delivery pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and incident response frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud-native environments and multi-cloud strategies.
• Knowledge of security best practices for platform engineering.
• Preferably experience in the Insurance Sector.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English
