Responsibilities Provide security and protection for the vessel, crew, passengers, and onboard assets. Conduct security patrols, access control, and monitoring of designated areas. Maintain a visible security presence and respond appropriately to security incidents and potential threats. Follow onboard security procedures, ISPS requirements, and instructions from the Security Team. Monitor and report suspicious activities, security breaches, and safety concerns. Work closely with the vessel’s security and management teams to maintain a safe and secure environment. Complete security-related reports and maintain accurate records when required. Required Qualifications Previous experience in maritime, military, police, private security, or close protection is required. Valid STCW Basic Training (BST) certificate. Valid Ship Security Officer (SSO) certificate is an advantage / may be required depending on the position. Relevant security or maritime security training and certifications. Good physical fitness and the ability to work in an international onboard environment. Good command of English, both spoken and written. Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions in stressful situations. Valid passport and all documents required for international employment.
