This is a remote position. Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (Cisco ACI & Automation) Location: Portugal Work Regime: Full-time & Remote (Portugal based) Overview / Summary: We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco ACI and network automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing complex IP networks, along with proven experience in automation tools and scripting. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can operate in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. Responsibilities and Tasks: Design, configure, and maintain complex IP networks, including routing, switching, and firewalling. Implement and manage Cisco ACI environments. Develop and maintain network automation solutions using Ansible. Create and optimize scripts in Python and Bash for network tasks and troubleshooting. Ensure high network availability, performance, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust network solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues with a methodical and analytical approach.

Perfil

• Several years of experience designing and managing complex IP networks (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, Automation).
• Deep expertise in Cisco ACI.
• Proven experience with Ansible for network automation.
• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and firewalling, with a focus on Cisco technologies.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant credentials.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
• Hands-on experience with stateful firewalls such as Juniper, Checkpoint, or Fortinet.
• Previous experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Certifications such as JNCIA or F5.
• Knowledge of 5G architecture and IPv6.
