The Shop Assistant is responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience and co-creating a great environment in our shop. The main responsibilities in this position include: ⁃ Greeting and assisting customers in choosing and renting bicycles; ⁃ Interacting with customers (building rapport through conversations and honest recommendations); ⁃ Providing customers with information on rental and service options, pricing, cycling routes, safety tips, and local points of interest; ⁃ Ensuring that the shop is always clean, organized, and presentable; ⁃ Collaborating with team members; ⁃ Ensuring that all products are properly displayed; ⁃ Efficiently processing reservations, payments, and security deposits; ⁃ Performing routine maintenance checks on bicycles and ensuring they are clean and in good working condition; ⁃ Keeping track of inventory and maintaining accurate records of rentals, returns, maintenance, and repairs; ⁃ Handling customers´ inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints with a positive and professional approach.
Perfil
- We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and organised Shop Assistant to join our customer service team. The Shop Assistant plays a vital role in creating a positive bike rental and shopping experience for our customers. The person in this position provides exceptional service and ensures a well-organised and pleasant environment in our shop. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and has a passion for cycling as well as for creating great experiences for others.
- QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS Basic to advanced knowledge of and passion for cycling; Experience in the cycling industry, cycling events or knowledge of bike mechanics is greatly favored; Experience in retail or customer service is welcomed;
- Proactive, eager to learn, and highly organized; Able to work in a dynamic environment and multitask effectively; Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately;
- Ability to operate basic software programs; Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus; Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Horário
9 am - 18 pm with 1 hr lunch break. Includes some weekends. 2 days off per week.
