Job Title: AWS SysAdmin / Platform Engineer Location: Sintra, Lisbon, Portugal Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid (Once a week at the office) Overview / Summary: We are looking for an AWS Systems Administrator / Plataform Engineer to join our team! Responsibilities and Tasks: Deploy, maintain, and monitor cloud-based and hybrid environments including virtual machines, storage, and network infrastructure; Ensure secure connectivity and access across Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), VPNs, Direct Connect, and subnets; Manage user identities, credentials, and permissions across platforms and environments; Oversee the lifecycle of infrastructure components: databases (relational and NoSQL), S3 buckets, file and mail servers, and SFTP services; Maintain and operate platform services such as DNS, pipelines, and code repositories; Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery tests to ensure business continuity; Collaborate with partners and customers to verify production readiness and acceptance criteria; Act as SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for partner integrations and platform escalations; Perform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle monitoring of infrastructure services; Support audit readiness and conduct security assessments aligned with best practices; Implement automation and batch processing to streamline platform operations; Contribute to architectural discussions and provide advice on new technologies, services, and workload optimization; Participate in SOC/SIEM initiatives and platform monitoring for threat detection and response.

Perfil

  • Solid experience in infrastructure and platform services management, both cloud and on-premise;
  • Strong understanding of Virtual Private Cloud setups, including networking (subnets, ACLs, security groups), VPNs, and hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect);
  • Experience managing virtual machines (incl. Bastion Hosts), storage systems, and backups in enterprise environments;
  • Familiarity with managing relational and NoSQL databases in production;
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation, pipelines, and code repositories;
  • Proficient in handling credentials, patching, and lifecycle upgrades in production systems;
  • Comfortable working with monitoring tools, security audits, and compliance processes;
  • Languages: Fluent English.
