Key Responsibilities: Your role as Structural Engineer is to assess structural designs of maritime facilities to ensure feasibility, efficiency, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations. The main activities consist of:

• reviewing structural designs and drawings of maritime / coastal infrastructures,
• assisting in designing causeway rehabilitation,
• making load and stress calculations,
• monitoring construction adherence to specifications,
• ensuring legal compliance with health and safety, and environment regulations,
• conducting site inspections to construction sites, and
• other: briefing / training of client’s counterpart staff in responsibility; representation of team leader / project manager on-site, if necessary.

Perfil

• What we expect from you:
• M.Sc./B.Sc. in Structural Engineering, or a related field
• 10 years of experience in design and implementation of structural engineering and/or construction works
• Experience in maritime engineering is added advantage
• Experience in developing countries on similar assignments
• Experience in client’s capacity building
• Good knowledge in developing and managing complex designs for structural projects using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (and in German as an additional advantage)
• Integrity and cultural awareness
