Adecco Permanent Recruitment is currently hiring a Data Engineer | Microsoft Fabric on behalf of a fast-growing international technology company delivering innovative data solutions to leading organizations across Europe and the United States. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team focused on designing and implementing modern cloud-native data platforms, helping clients accelerate their data-driven transformation journeys. The RoleAs a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing enterprise-scale data platforms leveraging Microsoft Fabric and related technologies. You will work on complex projects within the financial services sector, contributing to robust, scalable, and secure data solutions. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies. - Design and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver and Gold) to support scalable and governed analytics solutions. - Build, optimize, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines covering data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, quality monitoring, modeling, and reporting enablement. - Develop solutions using Fabric Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Notebooks, Semantic Models, and Power BI. - Design scalable ETL/ELT processes and data models supporting reporting, analytics, and AI-driven initiatives. - Implement best practices related to data governance, security, quality, lineage, and monitoring. - Collaborate closely with consultants, engineers, product owners, and client stakeholders within Agile environments. - Document technical solutions and effectively communicate architectural decisions. What Were Looking For - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Engineering, or a related discipline. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Development, or Data Architecture. - At least 2 years of proven hands-on experience working with Microsoft Fabric across the end-to-end data lifecycle. - Demonstrated experience implementing Medallion Architecture in production environments. - Strong knowledge of SQL and Python. - Proven experience developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines. - Solid understanding of Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and modern cloud-based data architectures. - Strong knowledge of data modeling and dimensional modeling concepts. - Experience implementing data governance, data quality, and security frameworks. - Familiarity with Azure cloud services and enterprise architecture principles. - Experience working within Agile delivery teams. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Professional proficiency in English. Nice to Have - Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-700) certification. - Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, or Azure SQL. - Exposure to Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning initiatives. - Previous experience within financial services, consulting, or other regulated environments. - Knowledge of CI/CD, DataOps, and DevOps practices. - Experience with Microsoft Purview. - Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical workstreams. - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
