Descrição da Função

Profile: - University degree in Computer Science or technical equivalent; - 5 to 10 years of experience managing production MS SQL Server environments; - Hands-on expertise in Azure (Azure SQL, DevOps, Pipelines, Monitor, Event Hub); - Advanced knowledge of Always-On Availability Groups (mandatory) and FCI; - Proficient in T-SQL, PowerShell scripting, query tuning, and performance analysis; - Professional English fluency (C1 mandatory); French or Dutch is a plus; - EU/Schengen nationality or valid legal work permit for Portugal (hybrid in Lisbon). Responsibilities: - Administer and maintain production Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL databases with direct operational responsibility; - Manage, configure, and maintain Always-On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), and cloud storage operations; - Lead end-to-end incident resolution, perform root cause analysis, and execute performance tuning and query optimizations; - Execute and validate database production releases using Azure DevOps and UrbanCode Deploy (UCD); - Automate administrative workflows and operational routines using PowerShell scripting and T-SQL; - Enforce security standards, access control permissions, and maintain audit-ready documentation and runbooks; - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, infrastructure partners, and release management stakeholders.
